Located along the southeast border of Tempe’s Papago Park Preserve, the Carl Hayden Campus of Sustainability incorporates the Arizona Heritage Center, Sandra Day O’Connor House, Green Line Interpretive Overlook, Tempe Women’s Club Park, LoPiano Mesquite Bosque, Loma del Rio Hohokam Ruins, Evelyn Hallman Park, and Eisendrath Center for Water Conservation. This assemblage of local environmental and cultural resources reflects on the rich character, history and heritage of both Tempe and the Salt River Pima and Maricopa Indian Community.

While some facilities have scheduled hours and tours, many of the associated park sites are open to the public on a daily basis. We encourage you to visit this amazing destination and explore our local history and desert heritage while considering how these narratives reflect on a sustainable future.
